A group of Sindhi ladies displaced from West Pakistan, due to partition of our country in the year 1947, started social work in the direction of imparting Education to Sindhi children. They named their organization as “POONA REFUGEE RELIEF COMMITTEE”. This trust was registered with Assistant Charity Commissioner, Poona Region, Poona vide Certificate of Registration No.31299 dated 06.10.1955. The number in the register of Public Trusts with Assistant Charity Commissioner is A-863. This registration has been done under the provision of The Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950

The object of the Trust is to impart Education. It manages following institutes :

  • Jai Hind Junior College (Commerce and Science) (12 Divisions Granted)
  • Jai Hind Junior College (Commerce and Science) (6 Divisions Non-Granted)
  • Manganmal Udharam College of Commerce (B.Com Granted) Started in 1983
  • Manganmal Udharam College of Commerce (B.Com Non-Granted) Started in 2019
  • Manganmal Udharam College of Commerce (M.Com Non-Granted) Started in 1993
  • Manganmal Udharam College of Commerce (BBA Non- Granted) Started in 2007
  • Manganmal Udharam College of Commerce (BCA Non- Granted) Started in 2009

At present we have a total students strength of more than 9500 with 143 divisions of various classes as detailed hereunder till the year 2020-2021 :


We have 9 divisions each class from Std. Jr. K.G. to Std. IV i.e. in all 54 divisions.

For Std. V to X, we have 9 divisions each (except for Std. X which has 7 divisions) i.e. in all 52 divisions.

For Std. XI and XII (Commerce and Science) we have 9 divisions each i.e. in all 18 divisions.

For B.Com (Granted), we have 3 divisions each for 3 years course i.e. in all 9 divisions.

For B.Com (Non-Granted), we have 1 division each for for FY and SY i.e. in all 2 divisions.

For M.Com, we have 1 division each for 2 years course i.e. in all 2 divisions.

For B.B.A., we have 1 division each for 3 years course i.e. in all 3 divisions.

And for B.C.A., we have 1 division each for 3 years course i.e. in all 3 divisions.


Our junior college started in the year 1949 with just two divisions. Now it has grown in leaps and bounds. We have ten division of commerce and eight divisions of science. We have both aided and unaided divisions of Science and Commerce.


To meet the demands of today’s competitive world IT subject has been added in the science section of Junior College. Every year we have many students who score 100% marks in different subjects of science and commerce stream bringing laurels to our institution.


Our school and junior college has glorious history of our students who achieve 100% pass result in SSC and HSC.


The efficient management has evolved over time and has created and contributed more in effective ways to achieve their goals


They generate practical and theoretical knowledge that enables people to better understand our world and improve conditions for local and global communities prioritizing humanity and culture in designing systems.


To develop conditions for secular society, by encouraging liberal, creative thinking in performing arts.


The management is committed and visits the campus regularly and focuses on critical, contemporary issues.


Bearing on corruption of any kind the trust members take no donation for admission, prioritize altruistic vision by helping the financially weak and charges minimal fee, lesser than schools in the vicinity.


The institutes stand on 9 acres (32,241.102 Sq. meters) of the land of which 18,664.200 Sq. meters are freehold, which is owned by the Trust. The buildings too are owned by the Trust. The balance 8,461.100Sq. meters is leasehold which is used for play ground. The total constructed is 13,156.650 Sq. meters.
